How it all began!

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” – Mohandas K. Gandhi

Pepper my very first dog & the love of my life!

I am  a local Los Angeles artist/songwriter who has always had a major love and passion for rescuing animals. Even at the age of 5 I used to bring injured animals home to my dad who was a doctor, in hopes that he could heal them. In 2002 Iwas devistated when the love of my life and first dog Pepper passed away from heart disease. I made him a promise that one day I would do something special to honor him.

In 2004 I began volunteering at my local animal shelter and began to notice that the senior and special needs animals were the first ones to be killed. I witnessed too many people  abandoning their senior animals , many of them neglected and or abused. It was like a light bulb went off in my head!  In 2006 I founded The Pepper Foundation dedicated to rescuing special needs and senior animals from high kill shelters! What better way to honor Pepper, the love of my life!

Pepper here’s to you! I miss you more than anything and I hope to see you again one day at the Rainbow Bridge! xoxox
