Become a Pepper Foundation Foster Parent

The Pepper Foundation is always in need of loving foster parents! The more foster homes we have the more animals we can save from high kill shelters! The animals that end up in shelters do not have much time , and if we have a good foster home lines up it can literally mean the differnce of life and death!

How Fostering Works!

Fostering provides a temporaty home for a rescued animal until a permanent “forever loving home” is found. It also provides time for an animal to adjust to living in a home environment. For some dogs, the foster home also provides time to recover from an illness or surgery before he or she can be made available for adoption!

What foster parents do

As a foster parent you will be responsible for caring for your little buddy in your own home. It will be your job to care for that animal as if he/she were your very own fur kid. You will also make sure he remains healthy and happy. While in foster we will pay all medical costs and in some cases the cost of food and supplies. . You’ll be asked to bring your foster dog to adoption  events and medical appointments, and to introduce him/her to people who are interested in adoption.

How Long Will the Animal be In My Care?

It varies. It can be anywhere from a few days to a few months, depending on the age and condition, temperment! We will be able to give you an idea on an individual basis.

Fostering can be very rewarding and you will be helping to save the lives of an innocent animal!
